چکیده

Non-trellised culture of tomato is gaining interest among farmers cultivating long shelf-life (LSL) landraces because the reduction in production costs. This cropping system can benefit from selection determinate growth genotypes, mirroring advancements achieved processing tomatoes. With this aim, and profiting natural variation found within Penjar landrace, we selected traditional genotypes breed novel lines carrying both self-pruning (sp) compound inflorescence (s) mutations. Traditional breeding were compared to commercial controls a three multi-locality trial under two irrigation regimes (normal watered, 100% ETc; water deficit, 50% ETc). Water use efficiency, harvest index, yield fruit quality traits studied at harvest. During postharvest, effects genotype management practices on shelf life assessed different storage conditions (controlled conditions/cold storage/farmer facilities). All used more efficiently deficit than normal irrigation. Harvest index was improved neither affected by locality nor factors. Breeding showed yields similar ones; however, they displayed plant architecture that facilitated their management. They also presented higher postharvest lines. Shelf significantly (G), (L, early stages), regime (I, later with contribution phenotypic variance increasing along postharvest. Low watering increased some while cold high humidity impeded trait. Overall, sunscald incidence percentage unripe fruits when using single strategy are major limitations for non-trellised tomato. In conclusion, study sheds light main aspects targets promote combination optimal efficiency.

The Effect of Deficit Irrigation, Planting Method and Mulch on the Yield and Water Productivity of Mungbean

In the present study, the effects of different levels of irrigation, organic mulch and planting method on the mungbean yield in Badjgah were investigated. The experimental plan in the first year was full randomized block, while in the second year, it was full randomized split-split plot block design, in three repetitions. The results showed that in the FI treatments, the yield was increased up ...

The Effect of Deficit Irrigation and Saline Water Treatments on Growth and Yield Responses of Sirvan Bread Wheat Cultivar

Today, maintaining the quantity and quality of irrigation water are the most critical challenges in the agriculture system, especially in arid and semi-arid regions of the world. Accordingly, to evaluate the growth and yield responses of bread wheat (Sirvan cultivar) to different levels of deficit irrigation and water salinity, a factorial experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block...

Comparison of the Effect of Furrow and Drip Irrigation with Waste Water Combined with Deficit Irrigation on Yield Indices and Water Use Efficiency of Corn

Today, one of the biggest challenges facing the world is the lack of water, especially in the agricultural sector. In this research, we investigated the effects of irrigation method and deficit irrigation with the urban refined effluent on biomass, grain yield, yield components and water use efficiency in single grain crosses 704 maize. This research was carried out in a randomized complete blo...
